Yellowleaf Creek Mill – Truly the best kept secret in Alabama. A fotowerks preferred vendor

Travel south down Interstate 65 to the Peach Tower exit in Chilton County and take a trip with me down memory lane. You’ll find an amazing venue filled with rustic character and southern charm – where the past meets the present.
Yellowleaf Creek Mill is an 1860s restored grist mill that remains a fixture in the community to this day. Our venue can host up to 250 guests and we can accommodate a variety of events. Weddings, Family Reunions, Corporate Events, Church Events, School Proms, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, and the list goes on. And my personal favorite – Our Christmas wonderland with the light display ready the first weekend in December.
Listed below is some feedback from our 2017 brides:

Regan Scarbrough, February 26, 2017 – “I had the pleasure of getting married at Yellowleaf Creek Mill on February 26th. The venue itself is so beautiful in every way, from the pier to the beautiful stained-glass window. Danyula was absolutely wonderful in helping plan my event from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. I had the best experience at the Mill so much that when I have brides come to me about venues, I always recommend the Mill. Thank you for breathing new life into such a historical place.”

Candace Meadows, April 9 2017 – “I cannot express how perfect my wedding day was at Yellowleaf Creek Mill! From the rehearsal dinner to the reception, the staff was so helpful and easy to work with! Mrs. Danyula even asked about details I hadn’t thought of. I was so thankful for her attention to detail and organization. I rented the bridal suite the night before and everything was so clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend the venue to EVERYONE. My husband and I were completely satisfied with our experience at Yellowleaf Creek Mill and so thankful for all of the staff’s hard work and willingness to help throughout the entire process. Thank you!”

Chelsie Gilmore, June 17, 2017 – “There’s nothing I can think of that needed work. You and your staff were great. It’s a beautiful place to get married and doesn’t need a lot of decorating.”

Lydia Hill, September 8, 2017 – “We were completely blown away by the Yellowleaf Creek Mill. Mallie + Joe

June 10th 2017 was a beautiful sunny day. It is a day that Mallie and Joe will always remember as the day they joined their families together forever.

Mallie and Joe’s relationship started with the a hello as they passed and the occasional text message to catch up. However Joe caught Mallie’s eye when he sent a picture of minions blowing party horns for Mallie’s birthday.

About a year after meeting Mallie had a Draft-A-Date with her sorority and she needed a date. So with three days left she sent a Joe a request to be her date, to which he replied yes even though he had engineering homework due the next day. After that they started to spend everyday together and soon began dating.

Joe decided to pop the question during a birthday party for Mallie and her mom at granny’s farmhouse. While they walked up to the house Joe told her how much he loved her several time and when Mallie looked at Joe, he got on one knee and asked, to which she promptly said yes.

Mallie and Joe wanted to get married in a church, luckily they found one 1/4 of a mile from Mallie’s grandmother’s farmhouse that they fell in love with. They decided to go the traditional route and not have a first look, so they were almost bursting with anticipation to see each other. When Mallie finally walked down the aisle in her dress from Bella’s Bridal, Joe couldn’t keep his eyes off her in his suit from Jos A Bank.

The reception hall was beautifully decorated with their delicious cake by Valor Catering in the corner of the room. While the couple mingled every happy moment was captured by Fotowerks Custom Photography. After eating amazing food provided by Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, the couple parties the night away with wonderful music by More Cowbell.
